Anne Horton established an outstanding reputation nationally and internationally as a member of the Tankstream Quartet later becoming the Australian String Quartet. The Tankstream Quartet won several prestigious awards including first prize in the Cremona and Osaka International String Quartet Competitions.
Anne has performed in many major European cities including Hamburg, Berlin, London, Paris, Copenhagen, Cologne, Zagreb, Budapest, Belgrade, Frankfurt, Reggio Emilia and in New York.
Anne has been broadcast extensively in Australia on ABC Classic FM and has been featured on NDR (North German Radio), the BBC and Radio France and televised in Austria, Australia Denmark and Japan. Also, while a member of the ASQ she released several CDs for ABC Classic FM including works of Debussy, Ravel and Schubert.
Anne holds a Bachelor and Masters of Music Performance from The Australian Institute of Music under the tutelage of Alice Waten. At the completion of her Masters in 2004 she undertook further studies in the chamber Music class of the Alban Berg Quartet at the Cologne Hochschule fur Musik.
Anne has enjoyed successful artistic collaborations with many highly acclaimed performers including Angela Hewitt, Sarah Macliver, Li- Wei, Teddy Tahu Rhodes and Piers Lane.
